Welcome to Grayforth House

 

Grayforth House, a Care Home for the older people in Burntisland, Fife Scotland, is set in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Firth of Forth some five miles southeast of Kirkcaldy and ten miles east of Dunfermline. The city of Edinburgh is easily reached by bus, train and approximately 20 minutes to the city centre by car. Burntisland is on the main coastal bus route and its railway station is on the main east coast line.

Respite and Long Term Care

Grayforth House offers Respite and Long Term Care for Private and Social Service clients, has two double rooms and 22 single rooms, having en suite toilets and washing facilities and some have showers or bath units. Rooms have private telephone connections and TVs. All rooms are spacious and comfortable and can if necessary accommodate many of the residents' personal possessions. All rooms have either a view over the River Forth or a view of the Binn Hill that towers over Burntisland.

We also boast one of the most advanced nursecall systems available today. With the most up-to-date and reliable electronic technology available, featuring a two-way intercall facility enabling staff and residents to communicate within. Infrared triggers can be worn by residents, allowing access to the call system at all times.

We provide transport for elderly visitors to our clients.

We have electric hoists, stairmatic, stand aids and alternating air pressure mattresses for enhanced care when needed.

Grayforth House as far as possible aims to provide your home for life. Staff trained to SVQ level 2 or 3.

Reliable electronic technology

Our residents enjoy having individual email addresses and have the opportunity to send and receive flowers, emails, eCards and Gift Shop ideas. Other features of Grayforth House are a hydrotherapy spa bath and Snoozlen equipment.

Our commitment to care is based on individual needs and encompasses the whole person.

This commitment extends to our residents who have special needs and suffer from health problems such as dementia or continence problems.
